It's not "traditional". It's common sense. You can't let an X company be run by someone without any affinity of X.

False comparison. It should read "Would you let a painter _manage the surgeons_ who will operate on you?"

Having worked in the healthcare industry - the answer to that might surprise you.

To be fair, I am pretty sure most people here in HN wouldn't be at all surprised. We're very used to watching laymen having to manage potential millions of revenue.
