Not all heterosexual people produce offspring; is that okay? There are other ways to contribute to survival of humans. Teaching, for example. Maybe it’s not so much survival that matters (aside from what seems to be the point of life: automated resource conversion) as thriving? We’re all going to die anyway; why make life harder for people based on their sexuality? Seems to be enough of us making babies already. Maybe too many, given our resource-conversation rate.

Not all heteros produce children. Most gays don't produce children. I, personally, don't care but don't get offended when people say they think having children is important to the survival of the human race. It's kind of obvious.
