"Disposing chemicals" doesn't feel like the right analogy. That's a negative externality that wouldn't exist without the manufacturer -- if the manufacturer doesn't exist, then that problem goes away. "My video is not available on this platform" is different, because if the platform doesn't exist, you still have that problem.
