Love this. I recently acquired a Commodore 64 and wanted to make a simple game for it as well.

There's definitely something to be said about creating new games for old systems. I actually went to a game store by my house the other day and they had an entire section of SNES homebrew with boxes and carts.

I like the homebrew scene. The machines are still fun, and if you have kids around, they will join in.

You should make one. It is fun to do.
