Especially if your interest is in not necessarily your personal privacy, but that of lawyers, journalists, whistleblowers, etc.

I wish i could show you what lawyers in germany did with their lawyer-specfic mail service. I don't have any non-german sources but they are a security nightmare and e2e encryption was deemed "unnecessary". Even vulnerable groups don't care anymore.
