How do you upload it after writing the typewritten version? People don’t really buy scanned typewritten documents anymore

You mean every draft is a rewrite, or just that a rewrite at the end is a small amount of work by comparison, or that you only put the final draft on the computer?

It would depend on the author. Some even write their manuscripts in cursive on paper!
