He means you can move in to your own property if you have nowhere else to live. You might not be able to kick someone out, but on the same note nobody can kick you out. You and a group of loud gym bros that moved in with you.

Its Your own property, and even if someone decides its trespassing they cant throw you out due to _NY eviction moratorium_

A landlord entering their tenant's property without permission is legally considered trespassing.

aaand? 1 they cant evict anyone in NY right now. 2 its not a tenants property after the lease got broken.
