I have tried some SSG (hugo, hexo, gatsby) until a few months ago I discovered Publii. The UI is nice and it allows to rapidly start 'something'.While there are still some bugs I find it great and decided to go on with it. It uses sqlite to store data. For some reasons I would have preferred a different way like separated folders with assets and markdown files.
