This looks kind of a another flawed benchmark, because of the use of time, which includes the startup cost for the process. Rust is compiled to native code with an AOT compiler, which should have significantly lower overhead compared to the NodeJS Jit.

Perfectly valid to include it because that is what you will experience when using it.

Except that startup cost is a one-time hit (of course), and 99% of the time performance sensitive code will be running in a longer lived context.

In a longer live context(more data crunching) Rust will win by even a greater margin, as performance improvements will compound. I know from benchmarking various Rust vs Go vs Node.js scenarios, and as the volume of data increases Node.js's performance gets worse.
