Ask HN: Where can I find grant funding?

Posted by jamesmehaffey on Monday January 04, 2021 @06:33PM
from the ask-hn dept.

I have recently started working on something, and it occurs to me that the project may be eligible for some grants or similar type of funding. In particular, it may be a useful product for educators or students. I am better at writing code then writing funding proposals, but does anyone know of any good resources for finding grants or that sort of thing?

In the US, consider an SBIR application: https://www.sbir.gov

In the UK, you might find something at https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/innovate-uk.

You should go for an incubator, I don't know from where you are, but in Italy there is 1 for each city at least. Just type on google name of your country/state + startup/incubator program.

They provide help especially in the first phases, coaching, networking, also funds.
