Re:Twitter seems to be testing an edit feature by nefitty on Monday September 14, 2020 @02:52AM (#24467527)
I can imagine solemnly written tweets with typos going unnoticed by the author for hours or days, if ever noticed. This is especially frustrating once a tweet has gained traction, because deleting and reposting means you lose all the engagement of the original post.

It reminds me of Larry David’s Beloved Aunt incident. Larry paid for an obit in the newspaper to say that the deceased person was a, “devoted sister, beloved aunt”. There was a typo in the word “aunt”... Anyways, the newspaper was printed and distributed and there was no feasible way for the message to be corrected. It seems strange that that same limitation is, arguably, unnecessarily and arbitrarily enforced on a digital platform.
