It's surprising to me that they'd run it by the editorial board. How do you know?

I mean, sure, newspapers have policies for acceptable ads, but don't they try to keep editorial and advertising separate?

Example:

"The Minnesota Daily at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, houses its news staff and advertising staff separately and does not hold meetings between the groups."
