None of this is exactly an answer; but some of the ideas may help you formulate something to give to people to help explain the role of the hacker.

This is very useful to me, but I feel like it might be too harsh to direct business clients there initially. Perhaps there is need for a ijustneedaprogrammer.com with a friendly explanation of why that won't work.

Yeah, this stuff is written more for us than for the business types. But you could probably take some of that and use it to help formulate a post of your own... if you're so inclined. Anyway, it's food for thought if nothing else.
