If you did not have credit monitoring when you submitted the claim, then you submitted a false claim. And if you did have credit monitoring, just verify it with them to get the money.

I'm failing to see how this is a problem from their end, especially when they are giving you weeks to amend the claim to be sure your information is accurate.
