The dropdown menu is just fine to answer the question 'has Twin Dragons webcomic added another post yet'? or 'whats new in the liliputing.com world'? without any context swaps to -> open a new program on desktop or phone and scroll through a (granted, owned by you, not FB) newsfeed for an hour.
