How do you give a computer domain-general intelligence (as opposed to the combination of a bunch of domain-specific skills like language, math, visual recognition, speech processing, etc)?

There is a lot of evidence that human intelligence is domain-general, not domain-specific (as in modularity of mind). I haven't seen a good answer to this question regarding AGI.
