Ask PG: Reversing a vote

Three times now I've clicked "up" instead of "down" on some comment. The vote seems irreversible, so the mistake makes me feel rather impotent and remains on record as the opposite of the emotion I felt when I read the comment. So, your database contains false data. Maybe I've even upmodded a troll. This seriously irks me. Could I file a feature request?

you need more karma. I'm not sure but you may have to have more karma than the person you are wanting to down vote. The only way to get karma is to post.

You can downvote someone if you have less karma, but you have to have at least 25 (I could be a little off on the exact number). Nobody can downvote submissions though.

If it's reversible than it's not a vote. In other words, it's not interesting at all, errors are natural part of statistical data. Cheers up!

not an issue. make it reversible within some small time frame, like 5 minutes.

interesting point about errors being a natural part of the data, though. i didn't think about that.

i think its a usability issue. Bigger and clearer up/down buttons might help.

I think pg should let someone run Hacker News as their YC idea with the % equity for YC would being significantly increased. If the founder also released quarterly numbers and CPM rates we could all benefit from being part of the start-up in a meaningful way. This would achieve the intended benefit of allowing pg to focus more on the start-ups.
