sounds like your saying a site has to use Facebook and Twitter if they want to achieve the same thing as an rss feed.

Worse: a site has to scrape FB and TWTR to achieve the same thing.

I'm baffled how anybody who even knows what page-scraping is could think of it as an improvement over RSS.
