Bug in certain older models, or older OS version. I had it on my 2015 model (discrete GPU).

I’ve used various MacBook Pro models from 2007 to 2018; they’ve all done this at least occasionally. The iBook I had previously didn’t, though. Apple’s PPC stuff always felt just that little bit saner.
