That feels pretty dismissive. Wealth independence is a huge deal that gains an individual very important security and well being.

We can chastise the workers as much as we can chastise the consumers who support this system. We’re all complicit in this, for the most part. We can work together to build alternatives.

if your entire purpose in life is to...idk...actually have a good life, then personal wealth does somewhat go hand-in-hand with that.

The only people that say they don't need money are those that aren't poor, from my experience.
