Based on the evaluation we did at my last job, I'd remove Mattermost from the shortlist and replace it with Rocket.Chat. Open Core sucks and functionality is about the same between the two.

Also, there's a native desktop client on the way for Rocket.Chat, called Ruqola. Qt based, so all the platforms.
