I've used the iphone/ipod example myself elsewhere in this thread but don't own either product.
To immediately label someone and start calling names says more about you than it does about them.
I suggest you scan the tone of the conversation around you and moderate accordingly.
People can't seem to mention the Apple brand on HN without you jumping all over them with accusations.
