I guess browsers could then make an effort to help sites use scripts only when absolutely necessary and give users easy to use tools to disable scripting. But, oh wait, they do the exact opposite.

Or the users could switch to browsers that disable Javascript, third-party cookies by default instead of the ones controlled by advertising and DRM monopolies. But, oh wait, they do the exact opposite.
