True story: I looked into a company in the vehicle automation field that had OTA upgrade on and didn't bother to check whether or not the vehicle was in motion or not during the upgrade. You really can't make this stuff up.

I did not mean that to illustrate rock-bottom, merely as a datapoint. Yes, things are much worse than that. But this one is pretty easy to understand without further context.
