Ask HN: How do you deal with depression?

The question is pretty straight-forward. I'm currently dealing with lots of pain and guilt from breaking up with a long-term girlfriend and leaving her with massive student loan debts. I'm having trouble focusing, losing weight, etc.

Aside from medication (I'm on some), how do you deal with pain/guilt/depression? This industry can be high-stress and we can all be hard on ourselves from time to time. Just interested in different coping strategies. Thanks.

Are those her debts? If so, that's not your fault or problem.

Yes, they are her debts. It is still hard.
