I am genuinely convinced, that all such topics have nothing to do with science. Such question is more philosophical or religious. Many people will try to explain their ideologies and believes about how things should work. Each side may try to say what is correct, while nobody has a proof.

Discussing such topics has no scientific meaning, it is a waste of time and it should be considered a clickbait :)

OP didn't mention science at all. They were asking for real-world experiences, actually.

So, you're meaninglessly correct. Such questions do not have to do with science, which is why science was not featured in the question.

The subject is scientific, so it sounds like e.g. "what are disadvantages of complex numbers". I am not talking just about science. I mean the whole purpose.

Such discussion will have no effect on people, who truly know what functional programming is. It also may have incorrect or misleading effects on people, who don't fully understand, what functional programming is.

To expand on Ranger's point, the OP's question is specifically requesting people's anecdotal experiences and opinions concerning applied knowledge. Science is the repeatable process of discovering and accurately modeling nature (for varying definitions of "nature").
