It's a vehicle that is larger than a car but smaller than an SUV. They generally look like tiny SUVs

Examples would include the Toyota RAV4, Jeep Renegade, Audi Q5, BMW X1/X3/X5/X6, Ford Edge, Nissan Juke, and the beloved Pontiac Aztek.
