Bundle all of those points up into some sort of standard level of acceptance and let conforming products have a big shiny sticker saying so on the front of the package?
As a bit of an analogy, while I may enjoy poring over computer system security details, I'm pretty novice at a lot of more real-world things. Yesterday I was buying a new dryer exhaust hose. I read some reviews online, and looked at boxes in the store. I managed to learn enough to realize I wanted an all-metal construction so it wouldn't catch on fire. But I really wanted some big shiny signal to let me know "HEY YES IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE DOING, BUY THIS ONE!"...
