A comment on Facebook is talking to the White House about giving away ‘free’ Internet.

Why is it "'free' internet"? I would think that it should be "free 'internet'", since the issue isn't that there's a hidden price, but that it's not really the internet.

The hidden price is advertising, platform lock-in, surveillance-as-a-service and propaganda-as-a-service.

So maybe "'free' 'internet'".
