Same in morocco. We have 3 olive trees in our house and we get huge amount of olive oil out of them. We use olive oil in everything. I also agree with you about the taste. It tastes insanely good compared to what I buy from supermarkets in Europe. I've heard rumors in the past that the Mafia got involved in olive oil in Italy because it's much more lucrative and safe than drugs.
