I suspect they'd enter talks with Bing.

With $1 billion in cash guaranteed, they could even try DuckDuckGo for a couple years and see if DuckDuckGo could grow enough to support them.

Details are hard to find, but I've heard that the price tag for the Yahoo deal was high due to a bidding war with Bing.

Details are in the article. Yahoo needed to overcome Google's guaranteed payments of $300M/year, thus the $375M/year amount and favorable exit clause in the event of a Yahoo acquisition.

Yeah, iirc, that was the case as well which is why I'd assume Bing.
