This is what I did. Everything was too heavyweight or ugly for me, so I hacked together a PHP script: https://github.com/TazeTSchnitzel/blog

Doing it yourself means it's as simple or complicated as you like it, and you can add whatever feature you want.

I did the same http://benlowery.co.uk it took like 100 lines of Python to take take a bunch of markdown files and render a blog.

It was almost embarrassingly easy (code is on there).

Really should write more content for it though.

Some of your emoji are not rendering properly in Chrome. Specifically Key 1 and 2.

Huh, indeed it is. Those should be snowflakes for Winter.

Why does it break in Chrome on OS X, yet work in everything else?!
