Hm, put like that, you are probably right :-) Although Wacom has low end stuff, too (or used to have).

Are fingers the only way to use the iPad. Perhaps you could still use some kind of pointy device to draw?

there's a kludgy sponge stick (http://tenonedesign.com/stylus.php), that sucks. I can't be bothered to carry it, but I can for damn sure be bothered to carry my Wacom bluetooth where ever I take my MacBook. The bigger issue is there's no SVG graphics app for the iphone.
