Noticed that when installing Avast, promptly disabled the "web scan" and "email scan" functionalities.

I assume Avast still offers full functionality without those features, since they scan program execution and resource loading anyway.

I managed to disable the browser MITM without disabling the whole functionalities: Settings -> Active Protection -> Web Shield Customize -> uncheck 'HTTPS scanning'
