You can use that to replace code by monkey patching

    $ cat hi.rb 
    def method
      puts "hi"
    end
    method
    load("hello.rb")
    method

    $ cat hello.rb 
    def method
      puts "hello"
    end

    $ ruby hi.rb 
    hi
    hello
