Re:Show HN: Ishim – find available one-word domain names on Friday September 17, 2021 @10:35AM (#28565955)
I agree. Why would I download an app for something that can be done in a browser?
You're 25 and working in this space for 8 years?
Curious about career advancement with this approach? Does this get you promoted and does this get you work on more interesting projects?
Thats not how promises work.
Sure can. The Microsoft plan allows you to ungoogle yourself.

Get a @your-domain-name email which comes with the same corporate outlook with calendar integration and everything else that comes with it.

Also, 1 TB.

Another good option is Apple - they charge reasonably 0.99$ for 50 GB

Finally, dropbox is really good too and I have been using them since the beginning.

You know that was the worst decision of Jobs' life, right?

Re:Ask HN: How do I help my Indian coworker get a raise? on Thursday February 27, 2020 @10:44AM (#22434221)
Could you please talk more about your experience of moving back especially after 6 years of tech in US?
Is there a good starting point for this? Or like a "Getting started" page?
I am a little concerned that this website gives all kinds of SSL errors in Firefox and openDNS straight up categorizes this as malware.

Could you please check into that?

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I always dream of this kind of stuff but then convince myself I am too old for this. I am 31.
I wish this was for life with a checklist like functionality. Like um edit morningRoutine
Any resources on learning swing/long term algorithms that you mentioned?
This is the closest that I could find - https://github.com/lihaoyi/Metascala

Need to find some time to look more and actually try and work thru it.

Isn't this book too academical for any practical learning of algorithms and data structures?

I would recommend The algorithm design manual for more practical purposes. https://www.amazon.com/Algorithm-Design-Manual-Steven-Skiena...

Can you elaborate some more on this? What kind of equipment and resources for learning more about this?
