I don't believe they have been, or are. What's happening today is media manipulation by selective reporting (i.e. straw manning). We've seen many, many cases of Islam-haters who, after studying Islam properly, end up embracing it.
Furthermore, people can be outraged at anything, including things that are good for them. Can't be more clear than what we see happening in certain geo-political circles.
Shariah prohibits dealing inhumanely with animals.
LLMs will always be biased by the training set used on them. I don't see how they will become an entity that knows everything there is to know about a domain to make the correct decisions.
Apparently they're aiming to move it up to preview in JDK 28 and out of preview for 29.

I'm noticing that many establishments are charging you more when you pay by credit or debit cards.
Calling out israel is not antisemitic.
> “Religion” just means “set of beliefs”. Every person has some set of beliefs.
True. I like to use the phrase "world view", everyone has a world view, including atheists. The word 'deen' (دين) in Arabic is usually translated as "religion", but one of its linguistic meanings is "path" (i.e. way of life/world view), which everyone has.
> not to mention this is the goal of Shia Islam nationalism
The fact that there are jews in Iran shows that they don't have the narrative of "getting rid of the jews".
> Oh please, you can't honestly believe that the "The West"... care about suffering?
Yep, that's my point. Many of us knew it from before, but the events of the past few years have really made the masks fall for all to see.
AI could have amplified it.
> We're spending insane amounts of money and diplomatic capital for very little in return.
One can argue it's having negative return. Hopefully more Americans wake up and vote to stop burning their taxes.
The Ottoman Caliphate was nothing like western colonialism.
Is it against the interest of the US to cease supporting foreign entities and commit war crimes in the region?
Why do you need "leverage" in the Middle East? Haven't they suffered enough since ~WWI colonization (including Africa and India and the surrounding regions)?
I haven't seen any serious circles and discussions that use israel as a scapegoat for every issue that arises, but it is also naive to deny what we see in front of our eyes and hear with our ears first hand from their own ministers; it's more clear now than ever.
Java (Spring Boot, Quarkus).
Exactly. What's happening today is more obvious than ever. The covers are blown, yet some people still have their heads in the sand. The epestein fiasco showed how deep and dirty things run.
Let's not dilute things. The "greater israel" goal is on full display.
pro american and pro israeli forces are not in charge in Syria
Same playbook as Iran being 3 months away from nukes.
It's very obvious that anything remotely critical of israel gets flagged very frequently.
It's surprising how many in the west don't see this.
You mean the people in Palestine getting massacred left and right by the israelis.
Brought to you by the epestein war
It depends on the GC settings. With the other JEPS I listed, things should become more aggressive. But today you can have:
> java -XX:MinHeapFreeRatio=5 -XX:MaxHeapFreeRatio=10 test.java
used=7640 MB, committed=7668 MB, max=8192 MB
used=4 MB, committed=20 MB, max=8192 MB
used=3 MB, committed=8 MB, max=8192 MB

The RSS drops from ~8GB to 8 MB.
I put the title because it shows he is an expert in his domain. Not to mention knows several language including Biblical Hebrew.
The point is to convey how Dawkins and his ilk (e.g. deGrasse Tyson) have so many basic fallacies that they do not seem to be aware of the moment they step outside their domains, and try to apply their relatively narrow world view across domains that do not support them. The video talks about a very fundamental logical fallacy.
The topic of the existence of God is not the discussion here.
We have Java services running on 512MB k8s nodes.
Furthermore, collection time (for moving collectors) is a function of the liveset, not the # of dead objects.
I find that very debatable. Spring Boot, for instance, is just one config line away from automatically using virtual threads in its handlers:
spring.threads.virtual.enabled=true
We also see library implementations switching to them.
