As much as I hate PHP, I'll never judge people simply because they use PHP. I know some very good programmer who code in PHP.
It's based on Arch so packages will always kept up to date.
I don't know about Debian, but the system will break every time I try to run do-release-upgrade on Ubuntu.
I've been using Manjaro for over a year now, never had any problem.
To read code is to understand it. It has little to do with style but more to do with program structure and abstraction layers. I've maintained a PHP codebase with some of the worst code I've ever seen. For Example:
1. A function with a few thousand lines of code, accepting dozens of parameter. The body is made up of some nested switch-case and if-else.
2. Instead of using constructors, every class has a static method that does nothing but initialize itself.
3. A class which queries DB and generate HTML, with nearly a hundred public variable. A few levels of sub classes with functions to update those variables.
When a piece of code is not obvious in what it's doing, I'll call it unreadable. In some cases this is acceptable, for example in some clever algorithm (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast_inverse_square_root), but it is still what it is, unreadable.
> I think they were somewhat beaten to the punch by Ninja Theory's astonishing work on Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. They won the real-time award at SIGGRAPH 2016 in triumphant fashion. Not only did they create a tremendous technical achievement, but they produced a game with genuine artistic intent on a fraction of a typical AAA budget.

Their previous game "Enslaved: Odyssey to the West" also had pretty good facial animation. Especially when compared with contemporary AAA titles like Mass Effect.
Did you design the UI yourself? For me (and maybe most programmers) the hardest part of building an application is UI design. You did a really nice job.
True. That's why I try to avoid software by large corporations wherever possible, even if it's open source.
But Microsoft is a different story. They actively tried to kill off the free software movement. I really hope they have changed now, but only time will tell.
Call me paranoid but I don't trust Microsoft at all.
I was expecting something more interesting, very disappointed.
Wish I could live like him one day. So sad I'm living in Hong Kong which is just a big city with nowhere to go.
I'm a Hong Konger, I had lived in a similar cubicle when I was a child. Your comment physically disgusts me, even if you are just trolling.
