I can vouch for it being really great for me as well (as others pointed out). But I use Apollo instead of Sunshine. It has some superior things baked in, including easy resolution/monitor handling.
Maybe give it a shot.

No, Ardour is disgustingly ugly, so is Gimp and other FOSS apps stuck in the 90s. Some people dig that though I guess.
Also isn’t the case with Ardour that they essentially want you to pay for the binary because compiling it is a PiTA and there are no instructions on how to do so?

Not op but I mean you can use a public cloud with Cryptomator on top if you don’t trust your password DB on a non E2E cloud. Or you can just use your own cloud (but then no access outside or can risk and open up infra), and then any of the well known clients on your phone. Can optionally sandbox them if possible and then just be mindful of sync conflicts with the DB file but I assume you, like most people, will 99.9% of the time be reading the DB not writing to it.

PrivacyGuides goes through their own process of vetting (whether you would agree with their process or not that’s another topic) so I think the discussion to add Ente Photos is the more relevant link

Ente is extremely well known in the privacy circles, so this is not just some random company with a random app out of nowhere.
Check PrivacyGuides for example.
