It says in the video that they run them on Together.ai
Re:Revolut moves to self-hosted GLM on Tuesday November 03, 2026 @06:00AM (#50350432)
You still need to run them on GPUs
I've been paying for the all products pack for 8 years now, but at my latest job all code is generated, and I think this will be the reality at most companies. I won't extend this year

Looks like Transport Tycoon
Re:Things That Annoy Me About Cars on Monday September 14, 2026 @03:31PM (#49702633)
Does the one pedal drive activate the brake lights, or why does it feel that a lot of evs don't show the brake lights when 'braking', which is really annoying when you drive behind them.
Yup, Nike and Asics were like 10mm, while Hoka and other cool brands are lower. Back when I was running this was the main differentiator
No mention of heel drop? I thought Hoka's were in the low heel drop category. Or maybe it's not a thing anymore
Re:US diesel hits record $6 a gallon on Iran supply shock on Friday September 11, 2026 @05:45AM (#49655780)
Cheap gas from the Russians? No thank you
Reminded me of this documentary I saw last year - https://www.arte.tv/en/videos/122807-000-A/arte-reportage/ . I thought it was the same lake
This is the direction many engineers (seniors included) are facing if they mostly rely on AI. You lose your skills, you become detached. We will all become 'architects'.
Re:France to ban unsolicited telemarketing calls on Tuesday August 11, 2026 @08:50AM (#49257485)
Same in the Netherlands, but it's not enforced. Although, it could be so easily enforced, at least for dutch numbers.
Numbers are going down, but in my area there are now 4 buildings with asylum seekers. Started with a hotel, then an office building, then some newly built expensive houses that were first up for rent and now rented for asylum seekers, and now another office building. Honoring existing treaties out of principle can also be put on hold when the situation changes.
This has already happened, the Ukrainans loaded some regular trucks with drones and sent them deep into Russia
Re:I used Claude Code to get a second opinion on my MRI on Sunday June 28, 2026 @12:51PM (#48709110)
I used it on an ankle fracture xray, it was quite useful to make sense of things. But not like a 2nd opinion.
Re:Never Give Them Your Face on Monday June 22, 2026 @11:29AM (#48631597)
The same can happen with any type of authentication, unless you are ok with someone pointing a webcam and authenticating you non stop.
Re:How's Linear so fast? A technical breakdown on Sunday June 07, 2026 @04:47PM (#48438386)
Maybe we work at the same company. I have the same experience. Don't know why people use it.
Re:The Website Specification on Sunday May 31, 2026 @06:07AM (#48344423)
I interviewed someone once for a fullstack role, gave him a mockup of a screen we had to build and asked how he would do it, in short some things on top of other things. The only thing he managed to say was how he would divide everything into components. I thought man, so many devs don't even know how to use html/css anymore, but who's laughing now, you just need to prompt a coding agent.
Re:I manage teams without a single call on Tuesday May 26, 2026 @11:18AM (#48281003)
Ok, keep it a mystery then.
Re:I manage teams without a single call on Monday May 25, 2026 @04:09PM (#48271098)
So you think most engineers are not capable to work in a group, without supervision? Who's insulting? "If you don't know what you're doing" = "You're out of depth and you need someone to guide you through"
Re:I manage teams without a single call on Monday May 25, 2026 @02:19PM (#48269958)
For me the best moments at work have been when the direct manager was sick or on a very long holiday. We're adults, why would I need someone to tell me 'I agree with you', 'go ahead, I trust you'. Maybe if you don't know what you're doing, or you can't manage the stakeholders, but otherwise, the manager just gets in the way, unless they know how to make themselves invisible, or they have the connections and will to propel your career forwards I've had plenty of managers in 20+ years
So what could you do that people paid you 300/hr? And how long where these gigs?
Today I had to edit in MacOS a pdf which had some text fields. It had 3 places which resembled checkboxes, so in those I was able to place an `x` character. When I saved it and previewed it, the `x` was in 2 places, but not the third. I tried several times but couldn't make it work. I gave up, started a Claude session, and asked it to fill in the `x`. 4k tokens of Python later it managed to place the `x` correctly.
Re:Ask HN: Is the Job Market Actually Bad? on Saturday May 02, 2026 @02:18PM (#47988914)
I find it absurd how she generalized that Western Europe is complaining a lot and less pragmatic than whatever. The same for working remote but not having the chops like the 'Bay Area'. Could have been a serious question as well, why do you find it absurd?
Re:Ask HN: Is the Job Market Actually Bad? on Saturday May 02, 2026 @01:54PM (#47988701)
Why do you even hire in Europe when the smartest people are in the Bay Area?
So is DuckDb a database or a cli tool to query all sorts of file format using SQL statements? I've used it as a CLI tool, somehow don't understand the comparison to a database, which stores your data reliably, besides responding to your SQL queries.
I still drive the car I bought 20 years ago. How long should the useful life of a car be?
How about Russians from abroad, do they often go back to Russia?
Re:Apple Business on Tuesday March 24, 2026 @05:22PM (#47509549)
Afaik every company has a DNB number. It's a credit risk company which sources company data from every country.
What do you mean? Champagne is classy, it matches perfectly the role of VP. These are special, unique people. They will take your unrefined words and use their magic to make it stand out.
