I thought the same when I read "This was done (...) on a Raspberry Pi RP2350 chip, (...) for around 60p. Add the various extra parts (...) built today for a few pounds in one-off quantities. Call it the price of coffee and a cake in a European café today." "I opted for the Adafruit Fruit Jam (...)" ($39.95)
Unless you're paying $40 for coffee and cake I'll call bullshit.

I would not at all be surprised seeing that domain being abandoned again at a renewal in the near future.

Hang on a second, "(...) in 2023. US/* was moved to tzdata-legacy (...)"
US/* was moved to 'backward' (the file for backward compatibility) in the tz database in 1993(!) and as such was essentially marked as deprecated long enough. https://data.iana.org/time-zones/tzdb/backward
You're telling me you didn't notice ? It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard.

They check blood iron levels before each donation in Australia. They send you away if you’re too low.

Well I’m glad that TFA really explains the connection between Jinroku Masaki and the Mitsubishi family crest because otherwise I’d still be confused. (Or maybe it’s a westerner thing expecting the name of the founder to match the crests family in name)

Once again, that thing falls under FDA regulations. You’re telling us about a world with 3rd party mix and match components, all FDA approved in any and all combinations on 5 year plus old devices?

Hang on, what about the part where the FDA only approved the thing for a 5 year use and essentially pushed the manufacturer into liability if they worked on it after that period? Maybe that’s the issue that needs repairing first.
