News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

This is very short sighted. Just wait a month or so and this machine will not look like anything special. ORNL typically doesn't use Intel.
Re:AMD Zen 2 Update: 7nm EPYC in Labs Now, Launching in 2019 on Wednesday June 06, 2018 @10:49AM (#17247575)
This misses the point of where Intel is going. Intel does not see the PC market as a growth sector as a whole. It may grow for individual companies, like AMD, as they take up part of the share, however. That doesn't mean the PC market as a whole is growing. It's actually shrinking.

Intel recognizes this and is focusing on data centric use-cases like supercomputers and clouds.

For example, Intel is leading "Pathforward" with the US Government to develop very high-end solutions to large-scale problems; https://www.ecpannualmeeting.com/

In summary, Intel doesn't care that much about the PC sector because it's shrinking as a whole.

They did $59bn in revenue last year lol
Nope. They're doing all kinds of things from autonomous cars to blood nan-ites.
Do you really find the need to be pedantic lol

Highly disingenuous. First of all, even Bernie Sanders agrees that having open borders will causes wages to plummet. It's the dream of the Koch brothers.

Second, Hillary didn't vote for 10 ft wall and never proposed a 10ft wall. She voted for the Secure Fence act of 2006:

This isn't a wall, it's fencing placed at various spots across the border.

Stop lying.

Re:Dell to Buy EMC in Deal Worth About $67B on Monday October 12, 2015 @12:10PM (#10375417)
I was at EMC for a while too (actually I was at DataDomain which later was bought by EMC) and I feel like there were a lot of storage related startups that chipped away at the best talent that EMC and NetApp had.
