A quick search shows all sorts of projects choosing Ubuntu. Can you explain a project like mail-in-a-box going with it? And 5.15 kernel at that..
The general advice I've been seeing the past ~8 years is "There is no reason to pick Ubuntu over Debian". I don't know who the opposite advice comes from and why anyone would pick ubuntu for a server.
I don't doubt what you're saying. But as someone who is really not buying into cryptocurrencies, this is exactly what someone who holds a big amount of some obscure cryptocurrency would say.
I've heard good things about monero from a friend. This is not an attack on monero, rather a reflection on the general tone of the message.
I think they very well understand that this code was full of bugs but no one cared. Likely was assigned to some junior who was making an entry into the team/repos as a non-critical task.
And it's hard to judge them: I'd also rather focus on real features.
I'm sure one could recreate a look of some popular model. So the model trained on models then would generate a model of a model.
You're laughing, but they're probably going to use these models to train a model and allow players design their characters from a prompt.
I'm just glad it's not just me being stupid. Sometimes I have to read a sentence several times and then ask to elaborate because I can't comprehend.
So I thought this is brilliant and decided to find something close to me in Berlin. I was shown the "Nazi Germany" article.
TLDR: Because life. Schedule an appointment and get your GLP.
This is from 2023
> as you are implying
I am not implying that at all. All I'm saying is that humans can't keep up with LLM/agent rates of code generation but agents come, so what is unusable for humans is ok for LLMs.
And LLMs being required is very profitable to those who sell LLMs.
Never did I imply any bugs
I wonder how much warmer our planet will get due to this sudden surge of creativity our civilization is undergoing.
Makes sense. Very hard for humans to keep up with LLM-generated code. But LLMs/Agents have no problem with this. So they are using the dev style that would drive their business towards generating more money. A funny concept for a non-profit organization.
This reminds me of a response from a Microsoft MVP on a question about reducing storage usage by stale installer files in Windows folder:
"Essentially to reduce the space used you need to increase the size lf your storage"
I've only learned about them recently from a post about Mineserver. The article was posted to HN on Oct 4, they've passed on Oct 3 but I didn't know this until today.
I'm disturbed.
I strongly disagree on both points.
It's not "just English". There is a reason legal corpus is a separate thing. Just because a language uses the same grammar skeleton doesn't mean it is the same language.
If I were to train a model on all of written English excluding Legal Corpus and then ask it to interpret Legal corpus texts it'd be a disaster. The opposite is also true.
> The state does make this information available.
There was a 2nd part about it being comprehensible. That 2nd part goes hand in hand with my point above. More often than not legal texts are made to scare people away. Thankfully with LLMs we're seeing that changing rapidly. More and more people are able to educate themselves because the knowledge is no more gated behind a cryptic writing only select few can interpret.
And I am sure the next step is rewriting all of it into a human-friendly language.
I still see value in rigorous proceedings and there is value in a lawyer who can help you with strategic advice on legal. But that indeed is more of a plumbing work.
> That’s why you should hire your own counsel if you think you’ve been wronged.
Of course you'd say that as a lawyer. First you invent a language no one else can comprehend and then you recommend I pay you for translation.
If LLMs are good at anything, it's languages. So I am very hopeful the entire legal system will see an overhaul.
> finding out your rights is your job
No. It's the job of the state to educate and make information on this available and comprehensible for everyone. As long as I am paying taxes I expect the services provided to me documented properly.
Realistically, GOG probably is trying to accommodate for the OS running the game. So it is more for the spec of the PC, not the RAM the game itself needs
I was ok with Chromium alone taking ~6h. I moved away when I started experimenting with Rust.
meta: I wonder if this writing style will become more dominant to help the reader immediately distinguish non-LLM assisted writing.
Not sure I enjoy reading it more than an LLM generated text though.
Even if they don't, the law enforcement definitely does (or rather requires your ISP to).
So depending on who you are trying to protect against you are in for varying amounts of fun.
context is important. Depending on what you are doing, you might have to review every line of code two or three or ten times before you sign off on a PR.
TIL.
I guess I'm not using this tech enough :-)
What's the hmmm-hmmm part about? I didn't get that reference.
Good job adjusting quickly.
I used to repair cars. I guess if nothing else works, I can do that until EVs take over that.
Thanks. I didn't know this one.
Pretty sure they're not the ones paying the price.
Funny to see a blog post about UI from one of the most funded tech companies in the world, yet the player has about the worst UI possible:
- Audio volume has 2 levels: on and off
- Play button worked exactly once for me: it played and looped the video. Couldn't be stopped afterwards.
- The video progress bar has no visual indication of where it starts and where it ends..
Is this what Phind died for?
For 2(3?) decades we've been training the robots to tell traffic lights from fire hydrants. It's finally paying off.
If there was an easy way to extract value out of any particular kind of a vulnerability, it'd cost much more and thus the bounty would've been higher.
Are you kidding? The discussion is explicitly about the normal levels. How much you produce is irrelevant. The _level_. As in how much of it is floating in your blood.
Some levels are normal, some are low. "Skin color" affects production as you pointed out, but that has literally nothing to do with what we are discussing.
