You're correct. I thought they removed it. I know that Kubuntu doesn't have that, but Ubuntu does.
Re:js;dr = JavaScript required; Didn’t Read. on Sunday January 17, 2021 @08:53PM (#25817323)
Yeah our county covid stats are the same. Static pages would work great here, instead of having to hit the API and DB for the data, since the data is updated once a day.

I find the minimalism to become frustrating, when it involves burying things that were so easily accessed before. In windows you used to be able to right click the desktop to get to display settings.

Re:The Children Strike of 1972 on Sunday January 17, 2021 @06:41PM (#25816462)
There are a lot of places around me (Texas) with no sidewalks or bike lanes. The road planing has been, is, and will probably be horrid forever.
Re:The Children Strike of 1972 on Sunday January 17, 2021 @06:37PM (#25816429)
I'm in the US, Texas more specifically.

It's amazing that they allow for streets to be built so narrow in new neighborhoods, that only one car can get through if there is on parked on the side. Lot's of complaints about people parking on the street in a neighborhood that still being built out. They also have one way streets that are hard to get through of anyone is parked on the street.
Re:Hijacking the browser's default behavior is a dick move on Friday January 01, 2021 @01:22PM (#25605316)
Yeah, I expect my browser to go backwards when I click back to another site, not be directed to another page on that domain. Also Pinterest hijacks the share function finch of Chrome on Android and will share a link to a main page of sorts.

Re:Osmocom icE1usb: Open hardware USB E1/T1 adapter on Monday December 28, 2020 @04:13PM (#25563295)
Well the answering service sold itself to a larger answering service, so I no longer work on that. I may one day finish the V2 of my software. The original one was done in 2007 using Asterisk, PHP and COMET (HTTP long polling) and was banged out in 72 hours. It was an emergency situation, where their old setup finally died (circa 1986).
Re:Buttplug (Sex Toy Control Library) Hits v1 Milestone on Monday December 28, 2020 @02:59PM (#25562620)
I looked into doing something like in the early 2000s, bit found that my idea would take more power I was comfortable to be able to provide in such spaces.
Re:Osmocom icE1usb: Open hardware USB E1/T1 adapter on Monday December 28, 2020 @02:33PM (#25562390)
When I dealt with creating/supporting an answering service setup, the one thing that was needed on the T1 cards was echo cancellation.

Re:PHP RFC: Enumerations on Saturday December 05, 2020 @05:16PM (#25318936)
I started on some RFCs, but due to life events, I don't have time to finish them out.

Re:PHP RFC: Enumerations on Saturday December 05, 2020 @12:37PM (#25316425)
I want structs and static classes (OK, the last one isn't really needed, just more about being a stickler).
They use tables too. The generated markup could be a lot better in the sense of semantics.

Re:Asus Release Raspberry Pi Competitor Tinkerboard 2 and 2S on Sunday November 22, 2020 @10:50PM (#25183403)
I personally think the Raspberry Pi layout is awful. Power, audio/video and 2 USB ports should be on one side and the SD and 2 USB ports on the other side is way it should be.

The Soviet–Afghan war is proof of that. We went in, got the Soviets out, then high tailed out of there and we know what happened 20 years later.
