You are confusing people with your loose application of the word. Are you advocating for redundancy (e.g multi-cloud) or physical sovereignty (e.g self-hosted)?

The article makes this point.

Sugar is not just empty calories. Your muscles need glycogen, which is produced from carbohydrates—including sugar—to function.

Simple sugars are particularly effective at restoring glycogen stores after intense cardiovascular workouts.

Israel, the democratic country whose prime minister appears to be deliberately prolonging the current conflict in Gaza and starting a new war with Iran to avoid facing corruption charges?

What new features? Rate-limiting? $8 blue check amplification? Advertiser haemorrhage?
Does GitHub provide uptime stats? Seems very unreliable recently.

Firing someone in the case of underperformance (particularly outside of the US) is rarely a straightforward process.

You typically need to give the under-performing employee at least a chance to improve and meet the required standard - otherwise the hiring company will be leaving themselves open to a wrongful dismissal suit.

Incredible work. Hopefully R* acknowledge this and compensate you in some way. I won’t be holding my breath.

Maybe set up a donation page? I’d be more than happy to send some beer money your way for your time spent on this!

Absolutely horrific. I hope those responsible are identified and apprehended as soon as possible.
Re:A College Degree Is No Guarantee of a Good Life on Friday July 31, 2020 @07:25AM (#24007617)
100% this.

If bootcamps were a valid pathway into the profession at the time after I left high school I definitely would have foregone my Computer Science degree and gone down that route.

I'm glad attitudes towards them have shifted in the last few years - most of my friends in the profession work in companies that actively seek out applicants from bootcamps.

> Working from home isolates you. There is no way around this. You lose the one huge opportunity in adult life for making new relationships - and that's at work, in the office.

Since social distancing guidelines in my country have been relaxed and I've still been working from home, I find I have had more time and incentive to cultivate relationships with people that I actually want to spend time with and who have similar hobbies and interests as me rather than those who I am forced to spend time with in the office.

Excited to try this. Nice work!
