Re:Aphantasia: I can not picture things in my mind on Saturday June 22, 2024 @07:01AM (#40758036)
It's definitely real - I just need to draw/map out things on tos like drawio all the time when things get too complex to hold in my head as just memorised words and relationships
In a way, it's easy (I'm being deliberately flippant here, I know it's not easy) - if continual learning and growth is one of your goals, the worst thing that could happen is never getting feedback. Getting feedback means you have information to process and improve.
Re:Bleeding-edge tech will kill your startup on Thursday September 24, 2020 @01:32AM (#24575547)
Easier said than done I know (although I work in a technical capacity in a company that did exactly that - entered a market with tooling/tools that didn't exist, and had to prove the product actually had any value) - but I didn't see the part where they got trial customers, delivered on their value prop, and made them into case studies on how much value they were delivering.

If they were able to for example have a handful of customers who averaged (entirely theoretically) a 7% increase in profits at a cost of 1.5% of their operating profits, it would have been entirely possible for them to be on an upward trajectory.

For anyone who is already used to Jira and considering switching, think again. Monday seems to be popular as the "much faster, responsive" competitor if the marketing is to believed.

I've used it for 6 months - it's garbage. At least, absolutely ZERO times better than Jira as an overall productivity tool.

I can't tell you how many times issues have never loaded (see: blank screen), painstakingly prioritised lists of HUNDREDS of issues that have had their ordering completely scrambled, to name two off the top of my head.

If you hate Jira, think about whether it's the thing you hate that you're used to. Because you're absolutely going to be trading for a NEW thing that you hate, and have to learn to use from scratch.

Legal issues aside as for all intents and purposes perhaps all legal aspects proceeded as intended -
