You could argue that anything man-made is "chimp-derived".
I'm looking forward to playing with this.
Coming from a C-style language background, I've always found the syntax of languages such as Haskell and ML to be alien, to the point that I can't get my head into learning one of them, despite their obvious power and utility.
I've been looking for some kind of C-style dialect for one of these languages for a long time, so thank you very much for creating this.
At the risk of hijacking this thread; is anyone here aware of other projects for Haskell or other languages that achieve a similar goal?
By destroying the mind, they're killing themselves at the root. Let them get on with it.
"We are on strike, we, the men of the mind."
What difference between end-users and ISPs means that one party may have freedom but the other may not?
Oh Woz, you're so confused. You want the Internet to stay unregulated, yet are in favour of Net Neutrality?
Wow, I've been looking for something like this for a while now, and this is _really_ impressive. Good work!
"I can't prove it through fact, but I feel it to be true."
Both men applied their intellect to substantially improve the standard of living for the rest of mankind.
I think that Lithium (www.lithify.me) would be really great to mention under the 'popular frameworks' section.
> Instead of pressing criminal charges, they were rewarded by the Government.
I think it would be more appropriate to direct your anger toward the government in equal or greater measure, instead.
Very impressive - especially your from-memory reconstruction of Walthamstow Central. Pretty accurate!
Fantastic work. I've been toying with a CMS backed by a Git repository on-and-off for a while, and this sets a great precedent.
Very impressed by the way you've pushed all of the interesting bits to the client side.
You can find me on Twitter - @woogoose - let's take it from there!
2689 votes at the time of writing. If everybody donated a dollar instead of a signature, there'd be an app available on another platform by now.
"I was looking for a framework that supported PHP 5.3"
You didn't look hard enough - see Lithium

Am I the only one who thinks PinFace is a better name?
tl;dr
Because we live in a world where success is discouraged, and mediocrity is celebrated.
What, we're talking about PHP micro-frameworks and nobody's mentioned Lithium?

Your search for a modular and lightweight framework has come to an end.
I love the content of that presentation as well as the fact that the presenter was clearly as high as a kite.
How's about sum Accept headers up in there?
Upvote for teaching me about <C-R> to paste in insert mode.
This isn't about being 'selfish' or 'nice'. This is a question of thinking about the long term versus the short term.
Everybody wants to 'finish first' - that is to act selfishly, and it's not a bad thing. It's just a matter of where you place the finish line.
+1. I should change that opening to "stop blogging and continue growing a pair."
Stop blogging and start growing a pair. Aside from the monumental error of judgement in developing on an unfamiliar database in 4 days with zero testing, the 'morals of the story' crack me up:
"Do not accept responsibility for anything that you had to do in a very limited time."
Yeah, because the ability to stand by your decision is a function of deadlines.
"Do not accept the job if the timeline is short, the work is big and the load is heavy."
Wow, that's some pretty serious ambition right there.
I also like the way these points are first on the list, before actual lessons like:
"Do not have trust in any of your tools until they prove themselves."
