No current plans to print and sell copies, this one was for a competition prize in the Times. Fingers crossed they will reconsider.

Re:Fed Ends Zero-Rate Era on Wednesday December 16, 2015 @02:16PM (#10746505)
From the FOMC statement, it doesn't sound like the low rate environment will disappear too suddenly:

"The Committee expects that economic conditions will evolve in a manner that will warrant only gradual increases in the federal funds rate; the federal funds rate is likely to remain, for some time, below levels that are expected to prevail in the longer run."

Re:Why 'Nudges' Hardly Help on Tuesday December 08, 2015 @01:15PM (#10698187)
The author seems to have fallen into the 2nd camp. His criticism seems to be based on nudges that haven't resolved an underlying problem. Which should not be a surprise. Nudge (the book) did not argue that structuring default choices with an awareness of behaviour and psychology would immediately resolve the core issue. Only that it would be better starting point than not thinking intelligently about defaults and the decision making process.
Re:Kickstarter mini drone kicked out on Wednesday November 18, 2015 @09:41AM (#10587900)
"'No more Kickstarter for me. Willing to pay more after the product hits the shelves,' wrote another."

Despite several fairly high-profile Kickstarter's that did not deliver, this line still seems to come out after new failure. I wonder if Kickstarter needs to do more to explain what a donation is and is not. Or if, given the number of people backing Kickstarter projects, there are just always going to be backers who don't understand the funding model.

You are not a fiduciary in this context so would not have fiduciary responsibility to the owners (public or private). Essentially your relationship is with the company as a user/buyer of their product or services and is governed by user agreement - which may be a blanket EULA and may or may not be enforceable.
