Having no track even better. Some people like what they are doing and the field is constantly changing. You want your best surgeons doing operations not managing other doctors.
I wouldn't trust any api you don't control, don't have a solid contract (without the changable terms) or isn't owned by a nonprofit.
The free ones will hurt you but you expect it. The paid ones hurt more because you often build a business around an ecosystem that eats you up.
The homepage ones should show you subscriptions videos but also based on the last keywords/videos watched.
I don't see the value in using 2012-2019 videos watched when your recent ones speak more to what you currently are interested in.
If a large percentage of people who watch gun blowing up videos also are interested in the videos you mention than why wouldn't they show it (I assume if it were breaking guidelines it would be removed)
If no one in your company can do that.. hire or outsource.
The real reason you left is the commute and office decor. Moving from a 15 walk to an hour trainride is a big change. Moving to an environment where people care more about product than impressing people is a huge culture shift.
In the end covid would have forced everyone wfh anyhow.
"I figured it wasn’t really fair to my colleagues at Nuro to stick in a job that my heart wasn’t in."
So, in the end, I decided that option 2 was the best fit for me. I continued at Nuro and did my best to get up-to-speed and to contribute to my team’s work, but at the same time jumped right back into the job market"
Code quality here is more messy code, code that work now but doesn't abstract, ugly variables names like x..
Things that may even make your performance better now but harder/impossible to scale later.
Something digitalocean could do? Once an ip is assigned to another customer either: warn, warn/disable dns, change dns automatically
If someone has worked at 6-8 places over 15/20 years covering a range of skills required I don't see the risk.
Facebook is built on getting / using user data to determine what to show.
Google is built on geting / using user data to determine what to show.
To betray those goals wouldn't make sense. How they go about it can change. Facebook has always gone hard and fast. They treat you more like a raw piece of meat. They will run ab tests on you and treat you like a variable in a ongoing experiment. Google has such reach that they can make minor changes and capture vast amounts of data.
Other companies are doing the same way but instead of using it to determine what to show you they use it to determine what ads look like so you can buy their product.
In secret someone who cares less about your health than anyone you know prepares hundreds of meals a day and if they don't come in because they are sick they lose money. If they don't try to hide mistakes it will cost them. If they don't save the company money by picking up food off the ground or using yesterdays soup as a base for today's soup they are doing a poor job. There are very few ways a customer can prove these mistakes unless they are visible upon receipt. Poor reviews hidden from the public is the only recourse.
A bitcoin address gives you a unique global address decentralizated that funds can be sent to. There is utility to that function.
Using your description the internet is a magic place faeries built that provides no usefulness because it's virtual.
If you mined it once you get a hash. When you say you lost those coins you lost the hash to the account? When you mined in 2009 was the hash smaller than today? Is brute forcing possible?
The singleton will be rediscovered and frameworks, languages and religions will form around the concept.
