You sound a lot like my father. In social situations he would rather sit in a corner and read his book. To him everyone else is boring, his words, not mine.

I've had one of these machines for ~10years and she's still going strong. Combined with a good grinder the RC makes great coffee. The design is simple but elegant and the end result very satisfying.

Isn't Silicon Valley on tonight?
NZ lite... more like the inverse. Vancouver and specifically BC has a lot of similarities to NZ yes, including the frequent liquid sunshine.

Having spent approx half my working life in (Wellington/Vancouver) I'd say Vancouver would be a more natural fit for our US cousins.

However that said you can't beat NZ for internal travel, day trips, adventure tourism. Its basically a compact version of British Columbia.

My father is a flight instructor in New Zealand, he said simulator use there is credited towards yearly flying hours.

The only difference I can see between a modern simulator and the real thing is lack of consequence.

Re:Real Estate Broker Arbitrage in Vancouver on Monday February 08, 2016 @12:53PM (#11059625)
Vancouver sw eng here. I've lived in this city for 14yrs, bought in 7yrs ago. My house has doubled in value since then. The min buy in has now reached the 1million mark and continues to climb. The ratio of real estate to salary is out of wack and the talent is starting to leave. Vancouver is becoming a playground for the wealthy.
Re:Your C# App on 66 Million Macs: Announcing Xamarin.Mac on Wednesday December 12, 2012 @09:03PM (#4913744)
Nothing a bit of RAM and a fast CPU can't fix... Alt if you have a very large solution with multiple projects you could split it up...
